Prague Castle Visit
The Prague Castle is the residence of the Czech President (and of course, that of the past rulers of Prague) and is 1 of the main sights of Prague. The following pix shows one of the side entrances. An observation at the entrances is that tourists tend to flock to the guards ont he right to take pictures with. A closer inspection reveals that the right guard is, of course, the more good-looking one. Wonder if its a coincidence or a deliberate arrangement? We managed to catch the change of guards by chance at the main entrance at 4p.m.
In which the star attraction would be the St Vitus Cathedral, with its Gothic architectural style and intricate interior deco.
The great thing is that entrance to the St Vitus Cathedral is free. The entrance ot the other parts of the castle, like the Royal Palace and Golden Lane as pictured below, are much less impressive (esp Golden Lane which is nothing but a row of souvenir shops with a Disneylike medieval facade) but incurs an entrance fee of about 10 euros.
And naturally, no self-respecting castle would do without a torture quarters. Prague Castle's is housed in Dalibor Towers. The tool featured inflicts torturous stretches to its victims.
