Open-Air Lifestyle in Amsterdam

Went to the Noordermarkt, an open-air market, in the residential Jordaan area on a Sat morning. It was really bustling with activity. Goods of almost everykind are sold, and at low prices too. A sampling as follows: Polo-Ralph shirts sold at 10 Euros (prob imitation), ladies shoes at 10 Euros too and towels at 1 Euro only.

The activity also extends to the cafes circumferencing Noordermarkt, with customers packing them to the hilt.

Kids are not left out either, with a kids playground and performer in the midst.

In contrast, could hardly see any mulit-storey shopping centres in Amsterdam and the only one that i found was quite muted in activity.
The penchant for open-air living extends to busses too with open-top busses. Cool!
